Initial fit observations

In initial fit testing with a closed vented dome, the Oticon Real achieved a normalized Initial Score of 4.8/5—its strongest configuration. Speech in quiet scored an excellent 4.5/5, while speech in noise reached 3.0/5. Music streaming performed well at 4.2/5, notably higher than in tuned testing. Own voice comfort measured 2.4/5, and feedback handling was strong at 4.0/5. This out-of-box configuration delivered impressive results, particularly for speech clarity and streaming audio.

Tuned fit observations

In tuned fit testing, also using a closed vented dome, the Oticon Real achieved a normalized Tuned Score of 4.5/5—a decrease of 0.3 points from initial fit. Speech in quiet remained strong at 4.0/5, while speech in noise measured 2.9/5. Music streaming dropped to 2.8/5 from the initial configuration. Own voice comfort and feedback handling remained unchanged at 2.4/5 and 4.0/5 respectively. The tuned configuration maintained solid speech performance while showing some tradeoffs in streaming quality.
