Summary
In the initial fit condition with an open dome and medium-power receiver, the Jabra Enhance Select 300 delivered strong speech in quiet performance (4.00/5) and excellent feedback handling (5.00/5). Own-voice comfort was well above average at 4.20/5, benefiting from the open coupling that minimizes occlusion. Speech in noise showed modest improvement over average at 1.50/5. The primary weakness was music streaming, which scored below average at 1.80/5. The open dome configuration prioritizes natural sound and comfort while still providing meaningful speech benefit in quieter listening situations.
With tuned fitting using a tulip dome, the Enhance Select 300 showed incremental improvements in several areas. Speech in noise improved from 1.50 to 1.80/5, and music streaming quality increased notably from 1.80 to 2.60/5. Feedback handling remained excellent at 5.00/5. The slightly more occluding tulip dome contributed to better low-frequency audibility but reduced own-voice comfort from 4.20 to 3.50/5—a common tradeoff with more closed couplings. The overall fit score improved marginally by 0.06 points, suggesting the initial fit already captured much of the device's potential.
