The primary limitation is own-voice comfort, which scores 1.2/5—a low result that falls 1.31 points below the category average. Users sensitive to hearing their own voice may find this more noticeable. The device uses closed domes with a medium-power receiver and achieved identical scores in both initial and tuned fit conditions in our testing. The Beyond Pro supports both iPhone and Android streaming with hands-free functionality. It's best suited for users who prioritize streaming audio quality and speech clarity and are less sensitive to own-voice occlusion effects. Within its price range, it competes with devices like the Sony CRE-E10 and Lexie B2 Plus, though some competitors in this tier score higher overall.

The Linner Nova Earbud is a budget-priced OTC hearing aid that earns a B grade with a SoundScore of 3.4/5 in HearAdvisor lab testing. At $299, it ranks #39 of 65 OTC hearing aids tested, placing it in the top 58% of its category. This device shows a distinctive performance profile with clear strengths and weaknesses. Music streaming is a standout at 4.5/5—an excellent score that sits 2.58 points above the category average. Feedback handling is equally impressive at 5.0/5, meaning users can expect stable performance without whistling during normal wear. These metrics suggest the Linner Nova excels as a streaming-capable earbud-style device. However, speech clarity metrics fall below category averages. Speech in quiet scores 2.1/5, which is 0.71 points below average and reflects mixed absolute performance. Speech in noise is low at 1.3/5, trailing the average by 0.19 points. Own-voice comfort is particularly challenged at 0.5/5—a low score that sits 2.01 points below the category average, meaning users may notice their own voice sounds unnatural or boomy. The Linner Nova Earbud may appeal to buyers who prioritize streaming audio quality and stable feedback-free wear over maximum speech benefit. Those seeking stronger speech clarity should consider alternatives in this price range like the Elehear Beyond (4.34/5) or Apple AirPods Pro 2 (4.04/5), which score higher overall.
